Our Process

Developing custom hardware requires discipline and focus. When specs change from project to project, there’s no “auto pilot” and little margin for error. Our four-step process—design, build, deploy, and support—ensures transparency, accountability, and quality from beginning to end.

We design your custom hardware only after identifying your key requirements, doing extensive research, and finding the most economical solution that will meet your performance needs. More »

Discovery: Custom hardware can serve a variety of needs. During discovery, we define your key requirements and identify the issues that most concern you. Our goal is to find the most economical solution that will meet performance demands. And we always design with rapid deployment and business continuity in mind.

Engineering: This phase includes extensive research. Our transparent development process lasts only weeks, not months. From prototyping through deployment and testing, we move efficiently through each stage to turn concepts and designs into reality.

Not only do we build your customized hardware at our state-of-the-art facilities, we put it through comprehensive testing and ensure that your software is accurately installed. And we can customize the finished product to include your brand. More »

Manufacturing: Working with our trusted vendors—including Intel, Microsoft, Seagate, and LSI—we’ve established an extremely lean and reliable supply chain that matches the speed of our design phase and incorporates Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate waste and increase efficiency. In addition, Intequus manufacturing procedures are ISO 9001 certified and audited quarterly by Underwriters Laboratories.

From five locations across the country, we can ship 55,000 units per month, more than enough to accommodate high volume manufacturing on short lead times.

Imaging and Testing: Often overlooked in time and cost estimates, accurate imaging and comprehensive testing are critical in custom hardware development. Intequus has large-scale imaging and testing capabilities that keep your costs low and add value for your customers.

We use Netslam™ and Marlin™ imaging applications, which provide real-time updating of server image files. Our imaging processes are Windows® Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL) certified.

We can deliver solutions that are production ready right out of the box. And we’ll handle image revision management and warehousing, so an affordable, turnkey solution is always available to ship.

Branding and Packaging: Sometimes, appearance really makes a difference. When it does, you can add the perfect finishing touch to your hardware with private label branding and packaging, including silk screening, vinyl, powder coating, and painting. Anything your customer sees can be branded, including splash screens and BIOS. You also always have the option to use our in-house brand or no brand at all.

Our deployment services include inventory management, shipping, and logistics. With Intequus, your supply chain is managed end to end. More »

Inventory Management: We constantly oversee the flow of units into and out of your production inventory, which ensures stable production levels. We also calculate an appropriate level of buffer stock to meet spikes in demand and minimize the potential for business disruption in the event of an emergency. Build to order and set aside.

Shipping and Logistics: Intequus features same-day order fulfillment and we will drop ship or blind drop ship to your customers. We can ship your hardware without a return address or with your return address. In addition, we can customize the packing slip to display your company name, logo, and contact information. Intequus also maintains a hardware swap pool to meet priority SLAs.

Our support services are proactive, focusing on business continuity throughout the product lifecycle and anticipating end-of-life product decisions. More »

Product Lifecycle Management: Intequus product lifecycle management strikes a balance between necessary changes and production stability. Plus, our strategic partners have the knowledge and experience to anticipate important trends so we can make the right decisions for your product.

Service and Support: You will have a dedicated account representative from day one— a single, consistent point of contact. Your rep will know you, your business, and your product. And you’ll have access to PartnerLink where you can track orders, process RMAs, and view the details of past shipments down to the serial number of individual components.
